Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in a cooking role
  • food safety certification or willingness to obtain
  • knowledge of food handling and sanitation
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • physical ability to perform kitchen tasks
  • commitment to maintaining safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • experience as a cook or in a related role
  • knowledge of food preparation principles
  • familiarity with cooking methods
  • understanding of food safety regulations
  • ability to acquire food safety certification
  • basic math and counting skills
  • interpersonal communication skills
  • physical capability for lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, walking, and standing

Job Duties

  • cook and prepare food items according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • organize work area with necessary equipment and ingredients
  • measure, weigh, mix, chop, trim, and peel food items as part of preparation
  • handle utensils such as knives safely
  • operate kitchen machinery including ovens and mixers
  • apply various cooking methods such as baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming
  • establish, garnish, and portion food items as specified
  • adhere to food safety protocols and proper storage
  • sterilize and clean workspaces, equipment, and tools
  • provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive demeanor
  • comply with Aramark's safety policies and food sanitation measures
  • protect company property
