Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in cooking or food service
  • knowledge of food safety standards
  • ability to follow standardized recipes and production guidelines
  • physical stamina to meet job demands
  • strong communication skills
  • willingness to obtain food safety certification if not already held

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a cook or in a related role
  • validated knowledge of food preparation principles and cooking methods
  • knowledge of food safety regulations including food handling, sanitation, and storage
  • ability to acquire food safety certification
  • basic math and counting skills
  • effective interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal
  • physical capability to perform demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing

Job Duties

  • Cooking and preparation of food items in accordance with production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • organizing the work area with necessary equipment and ingredients
  • measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items for ingredient preparation
  • safely handling utensils such as knives
  • using machinery including ovens, cooking appliances, slicing tools, and mixing devices
  • applying various cooking methods such as baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming
  • establishing, embellishing, and sizing food portions
  • adhering to food safety protocols for storage of food items
  • sterilizing and cleaning workspaces, equipment, and tools
  • providing excellent customer service and maintaining a positive demeanor
  • ensuring compliance with Aramark's safety policies and food safety and sanitation measures
  • preserving company property security
