Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior cooking experience in a food service environment
  • knowledge of food safety standards
  • ability to follow standardized recipes
  • physical stamina for kitchen work
  • excellent attention to detail
  • good communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a cook or in a related role
  • knowledge of food preparation principles and cooking methods
  • understanding of food safety regulations including handling, sanitation, and storage
  • ability to obtain food safety certification
  • basic math and counting skills
  • strong interpersonal communication skills
  • physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Prepare food items according to established guidelines and standardized recipes
  • organize work area with necessary equipment and ingredients
  • measure, weigh, mix, chop, trim, and peel food items
  • safely handle utensils such as knives
  • operate kitchen machinery including ovens and mixers
  • apply various cooking methods like baking, roasting, and steaming
  • ensure proper portioning and presentation of food
  • adhere to food safety and sanitation protocols
  • clean and sterilize workspaces and tools
  • deliver excellent customer service with a positive attitude
  • comply with Aramark safety policies and procedures
  • protect company property
