The role of Cashier at Banner Health is an integral part of the Culinary and Nutrition Department, specifically within hospital retail areas such as coffee carts. This full-time position offers 40 hours per week, primarily scheduled during night shifts running from approximately 8 pm to 6:30 am, including weekends and holidays. The role includes a competitive pay structure with an additional $1 per hour weekend shift differential and an 18% night shift differential for work past 9 pm. The Cashier's main responsibility is managing cashiering and customer service duties in retail settings, ensuring accurate cash handling and delivering outstanding service to all customers. This involves maintaining cleanliness, stocking, and attractiveness of assigned stations. Barista experience is highly advantageous but not mandatory. This position requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to handle cash transactions efficiently and accurately. - for BSS team members in Tucson and Colorado, food handlers card not required

Job Duties
- Accurately records all sales in the Point of Sale System
- transacts payments with customers
- stores, counts, deposits and maintains register cash and receivables according to facility policies and procedures
- maintains all assigned stations, keeping them clean, well-stocked, and attractive at all times
- provides service to customers, meeting standards and guidelines
- responds to customer complaints and assists with problem resolution
- performs cleaning, stocking, sign maintenance and other assigned duties
