Job Requirements

  • High School degree or GED minimum
  • Minimum of 5 years culinary experience
  • Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience
  • SERV Safe certified
  • Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and MSDS information
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Mature walk with Jesus Christ able to articulate belief

Job Duties

  • Direct kitchen operations including food preparation cooking and cleanup
  • Assign tasks and duties supervise attendants cooks stewarding volunteers and specialty department coordinators
  • Assist in menu planning ordering and implementation of donations to create a nutritional and healthy menu
  • Maintain an open relationship with all vendors and donation providers through deliveries and communication
  • Resolve issues as they arise and report to the Director of Food Services
  • Hold staff accountable and ensure adherence to policies and procedures
  • Maintain control of the kitchen to ensure tasks are executed efficiently and effectively
  • Uphold safety practices including FIFO dating rotation proper storage rapid cooling and reheating and inspection of food items
  • Maintain kitchen equipment report repairs and additional maintenance
  • Keep all kitchen reports such as temperature logs and meal counts
  • Ensure kitchen cleanliness and readiness for inspections
