The Food Service Attendant position is a relief role offering variable shifts with a pay range of $19.81 to $24.76 per hour, supplemented by differentials such as a 15% relief differential, swing shift differential of $2.50 per hour, night shift differential of $5.50 per hour, and weekend differential of $2.00 per hour. As a Food Service Attendant, the individual will be cross-trained in various food service functions including room service tray preparation and delivery, dish room cleaning, and café/deli operations. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in food service, barista, and customer service in a fast-paced environment preferred
  • Previous money handling experience preferred
  • Deschutes County Food Handlers Card required
  • OLCC Alcohol Service Permit preferred
  • ServSafe Manager Certification preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently
  • Strong team collaboration skills
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills including email and MS Office
  • Cash handling skills
  • Experienced in operating espresso machines and making specialty coffee drinks
  • Ability to deliver excellent customer service

Job Duties

  • Prepares food products and beverages in accordance with safe food handling guidelines
  • Ensures customer requests are met for special request items
  • Operates espresso machine and prepares various hot beverages
  • Provides excellent customer service
  • Stocks and maintains cleanliness of café or deli areas
  • Performs light cooking at grill, sandwich/salad bars or other kitchen areas
  • Assists caterer in executing catered events as server, bartender or dishwasher
  • Assembles patient trays according to diet orders
  • Delivers trays to patient rooms using Double Patient Identifier process
  • Maintains knowledge of therapeutic diets and adheres to patient dietary restrictions
  • Stocks food supply areas on patient floors
  • Washes dishes and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashers or by hand
  • Cleans and sanitizes kitchen work areas, floors, walls, and equipment
  • Sorts and removes trash
  • Supports other food services areas as directed
  • Complies with all organizational policies and procedures
  • Participates in continuous improvement practices
  • Maintains safe environment for caregivers, patients, and guests
  • May perform additional duties as assigned
