Job Requirements
- At least 16 years of age
- Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
- Ability to perform essential job functions
- Ability to stand and/or walk for an entire shift
- Ability to see with 20/40 vision (corrective lenses acceptable)
- Ability to communicate information clearly
- Ability to follow safety procedures including responding to emergencies
- Ability to reach overhead, grip, and use finger dexterity frequently
- Ability to squat, kneel, push/pull inventory of up to 20 pounds frequently
- Ability to lift 20 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to climb a stepladder to stock or retrieve materials
- Ability to comply with safety policies
- Ability to work all scheduled shifts on time
Job Qualifications
- At least 16 years of age
- Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Experience in retail sales, food service, and handling cash preferred
- Ability to perform basic math accurately
- Ability to communicate in English orally and in writing including proficient telephone communication skills
- Ability to work various shifts as scheduled and arrive on time
- Ability to work with equipment, tools, and materials as required
- Ability to perform essential duties and work in described conditions
Job Duties
- Cashier duties including accurately ringing up customers and taking various forms of payment
- Answering questions about the food items offered
- Food preparation
- Adhering to safe and sanitary food handling practices
- Replenishing supplies and food
- Cleaning surface areas and throwing away trash
- Receiving and unloading stock
- General housekeeping duties
- Resolving customer complaints and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Obtaining and maintaining all required food and age restricted product certifications within 2 weeks of employment
- Assisting and working with the store's standard operations including lotto, alcohol and tobacco sales, cashiering, and fuel attendant
- Consistently providing prompt and courteous customer service
- Working all assigned shifts, arriving on time, in uniform and ready to work
- Acting as a positive team player and contributing to a positive work environment
- Complying with company policies and procedures including safety and environment policies
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
