  • State of Florida Food Handler Training Certificate within 30 days of start or ServSafe Food Service Worker Certificate within three months

Job Duties

  • Demonstrates knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care to residents
  • Adheres to food safety and sanitation standards and maintains clean work area
  • Uses standardized recipes to prepare meals and maintains proper food temperatures
  • Follows daily production guidelines maintaining food quality and appearance
  • Assembles and delivers resident trays according to department guidelines and timeframe
  • Delivers between meal nourishments and tube feedings and maintains nourishment room supplies
  • Clears and returns resident trays for washing and sanitizing
  • Manages catered events including setup, service, and cleanup
  • Mediates resident concerns regarding meal service and advocates for positive outcomes
  • Communicates effectively with coworkers and other departments
  • Ensures confidentiality of resident protected health information
  • Requisitions necessary food and supplies maintaining par levels
  • Assists cook or nutrition assistant as assigned
  • Operates food service equipment including slicer, coffee machines, label and thermal printers
  • Assists in training new employees
  • Performs additional food service functions as assigned
