Job Description

Recovery Innovations is a pioneering organization dedicated to transforming behavioral health care through innovative, peer-powered support services. With a mission to empower individuals on their journey to recovery, the company helps people achieve their personal goals, rediscover a sense of meaning and purpose, and reconnect with their communities. Headquartered in Raleigh, NC, Recovery Innovations operates centers that provide critical support and recovery services for individuals facing mental health and substance use challenges. Their vision is to revolutionize healthcare by implementing revolutionary solutions that extend beyond typical behavioral health services, fostering environments where individuals can thrive in all aspects of their lives including where they live, work, and play.

The role of Food Service Associate at the Wake Recovery Response Center under the Recovery Innovations umbrella is a part-time, non-exempt hourly position with a salary range of $15.00 to $16.00 per hour. This position involves preparing and serving food in compliance with food safety standards and company policies. As a Food Service Associate, you play a vital role in ensuring that guests receive safe, nutritious meals while adhering to regulatory and organizational guidelines. You will maintain kitchen cleanliness, manage food inventory with strict attention to sell-by dates, and ensure safe food handling. Working flexible shifts including every other weekend, the role involves actively participating in maintaining the health, safety, and welfare standards of the food service area. Recovery Innovations emphasizes compliance with federal and state laws, upholding internal policies such as the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest standards.

Beyond fundamental food service responsibilities, this role supports the larger mission of Recovery Innovations by contributing to an environment that supports recovery and well-being. The position requires collaboration with the Food Service Manager and other team members to uphold the highest standards of guest care, advocacy, compliance, and risk management. Candidates must be proactive in continuing education on food safety, possess organizational skills, and be willing to engage in required trainings such as de-escalation techniques relevant to behavioral health settings. The work environment may present physical demands such as standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds and is situated within an office or behavioral health setting, which may introduce certain safety considerations.

Recovery Innovations offers a comprehensive benefits package supporting employee health and professional development, including competitive health, dental, and vision insurance plans alongside mental health resources and wellness programs. The company values work-life balance with generous paid time off and a retirement plan featuring company matching. As an equal opportunity and second-chance employer, Recovery Innovations promotes an inclusive workplace where diversity in all forms is respected. Accommodations are provided as necessary to ensure equitable participation in the hiring process. Joining Recovery Innovations as a Food Service Associate provides an opportunity to contribute to a flagship behavioral health organization that is committed to innovative care and community impact, all while developing valuable skills and career advancement opportunities within a supportive team environment.
