The role of the Food Service Associate is integral to the success of Sprint Food Stores. Beyond the technical food preparation duties, the Food Service Associate leads by example in upholding the company’s core values and supports the overall store operations. This role also requires adaptability and the willingness to perform various duties as assigned by the Store Manager or acting supervisory personnel. Scheduling for this role is flexible, including part-time and full-time options, with the expectation that individuals may work varying shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays depending on store hours, which can be 24/7 in some locations. Job Requirements

  • No minimum education required
  • Preferred high school diploma or GED
  • No minimum experience required
  • Preferred 3-6 months retail or guest service restaurant experience
  • Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours a day
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 40 pounds occasionally
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to follow food safety and sanitization protocols
  • Ability to perform specialized attire requirements
  • Travel availability up to 5 percent

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Greet all guests in a friendly manner to make them feel welcomed and appreciated
  • Ensure that food recipes and preparation procedures are followed correctly when assigned to food service area
  • Wrap and label food products accurately
  • Maintain food presentation and keep work areas sparkling clean according to company standards
  • Adhere to food safety preparation and sanitization protocols and maintain equipment
  • Operate the cash register efficiently and friendly to minimize guest wait time
  • Monitor stock levels on sales floor, rotate stock, and keep product levels full to meet company inventory goal
  • Lead by example in execution of company values, programs, processes and policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Store Manager or acting supervisor
