Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Follow proper food storage and handling regulations to conform to local and state requirements and pass Serve Safe
- Maintain accuracy in weighing, measuring and portioning food
- Keep work areas clean, sanitize work surfaces and serving utensils, mop floors, remove trash daily, and perform other assigned cleaning duties
- Operate electric, steam and gas cooking equipment
- clean equipment and pots and pans after use
- initiate repairs as needed
- Prepare high-quality food according to standardized recipes in the correct portions in a cost-conscious manner for a cafeteria
- Take temperature of hot foods prior to mealtime on temperature charts
- Keep beverages (coffee and tea) prepared for dispensing
- Follow the menu plan, adjusting for nutritionally equivalent substitutes, leftovers, and emergencies
