This particular opportunity is for the role of Service Assistant III to serve as a Host/Hostess in the Emergency Department at Wilmington Hospital. This part-time position requires working 20 hours per week, specifically scheduled every weekend from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The primary function of this position is to enhance the patient and visitor experience by providing attentive food service support within a dynamic emergency healthcare setting. The role involves serving meals and snacks in compliance with dietary guidelines, utilizing iPad technology to collect patient menu selections, and collaborating closely with nursing staff to ensure dietary orders are accurate and timely.
This position also places a strong emphasis on delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining cleanliness in pantry and service areas, and monitoring patient satisfaction by communicating feedback to the nutrition team. Candidates will have the opportunity to work various shifts, rotating between morning and evening hours to help support the 24/7 patient care schedule, ensuring continuous service availability.
Compensation for this position starts at $18.08 per hour for new hires, with scheduled automatic increases to $21.15 per hour after six months of continuous employment and $22.18 per hour after one year, reflecting the organization's commitment to recognizing and rewarding employee dedication.
