Job Description
Stinker is a family-owned, people-focused convenience store leader with a rich history dating back to 1936. Operating across Idaho, Colorado, and Wyoming, Stinker has established itself as a premier destination for convenience, quality food, and community connection. With a commitment to creating a workplace that feels like family and a culture that blends fun with responsibility, Stinker embodies the spirit of community and service. The company’s values are centered around being a positive force, improving lives one customer, employee, and community at a time. They bring a bit of joy to everyday tasks and interactions, highlighted by their unique skunk mascot, Polecat Pete, which represents their playful, approachable identity. Working for Stinker means being part of a team that values each member’s contributions and focuses on nurturing careers, not just jobs, encouraging growth and fun in equal measures.
The role of a Commissary Service Specialist is integral to the smooth operation of Stinker's Pete's Eats program, which is a dedicated food service initiative offering tasty, high-quality convenience food items. This full-time position requires someone who thrives on precision, organization, and customer service. The Commissary Service Specialist is responsible for prepping and delivering commissary food and fresh-baked goods accurately and efficiently across multiple store locations throughout the week. This role is not just about logistics, but also about engaging with customers and team members positively to enhance their experience and uphold Stinker’s reputation for exceptional convenience and food service. The position offers competitive pay at $17.25 per hour and includes a variety of employee benefits designed to foster a healthy work-life balance and career growth.
Besides dispatching and deliveries, the Specialist will also support kitchen operations, including food preparation, packing, and maintaining high food safety standards. On the road, the Specialist ensures safe handling of all food items and monitors the delivery vehicle’s condition, contributing to the overall safety and efficiency of the company’s delivery network. The job also demands adaptability, from the cooler to the driver’s seat, requiring physical stamina and attention to detail. Candidates should enjoy dynamic work environments and be ready to engage with a fast-paced team committed to high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
Working at Stinker includes access to merit-based raises, profit sharing twice annually, paid holidays with time-and-a-half holiday pay, growing paid time off, referral rewards, comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, virtual medical services, an employee assistance program, and a 401(k) plan with an increasing company match. DailyPay access allows employees to get paid early if needed. The culture promotes problem-solving and teamwork, offering a supportive yet challenging environment where employees can develop professionally and personally.
