Job Description

Regency Senior Living is a reputable non-mandated senior living community committed to providing a comfortable and supportive environment for its residents. This company prioritizes delivering high-quality health care and personal assistance services that enhance the quality of life for elderly individuals. Known for its compassionate approach, Regency Senior Living fosters a warm and respectful atmosphere where seniors feel valued and cared for. The establishment is distinguished by its commitment to safety, respect, and dignity in all aspects of senior care, making it a preferred place for both residents and employees who are passionate about elder care.

Regency Senior Living is currently seeking a Food Service Aide to join their dedicated food services team. This position involves assisting in all food service functions as directed or instructed, adhering strictly to the established food service policies and procedures of the company. The role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in contributing to a senior living community while gaining valuable experience in dietary and food service operations within a healthcare or senior living environment. As a Food Service Aide, you will be entrusted with administrative authority and accountability to carry out your assigned duties efficiently, ensuring that residents receive the best possible dietary support.

The role primarily includes responsibilities such as assisting in the preparation and service of meals to residents, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas, and supporting the dietary team to comply with health standards. This position requires attention to detail, physical ability to manage various food service duties, and excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. The ideal candidate will possess a high school education or equivalent and have at least one year of experience in dietary or food services, although the latter is preferred but not mandatory.

Physical and sensory requirements for this role include the ability to move intermittently throughout the workday, cope with the mental and emotional stress associated with the position, and perform core functions such as pushing, pulling, lifting between 20 to 50 pounds, and possibly assisting in emergency evacuation of residents. These requirements underscore the need for a reliable, flexible, and resilient individual who can work independently and harmoniously with residents, their family members, and coworkers.

Joining Regency Senior Living as a Food Service Aide means becoming part of a supportive team focused on enhancing the daily lives of seniors through quality food service. This role not only challenges individuals to uphold high standards of service and safety but also offers personal and professional growth in a caring and meaningful work environment.
