In this exciting role, Kevin's Natural Foods is seeking an experienced Account Manager to establish and lead their emerging foodservice channel from the ground up. This position involves developing comprehensive market strategies, building key partnerships, and driving growth within a new and dynamic business sector. The Account Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of national accounts spanning various sectors including branded foodservice, colleges and universities, healthcare, and corporate dining. The role involves designing and implementing strategic sales plans that outline methodical approaches for prospecting, recruiting, and securing new business opportunities. Key responsibilities include negotiating contracts, establishing pricing, terms, and conditions, and developing strategies for effective market penetration, customer acquisition, and competitive positioning.

The position offers an exciting blend of remote work and field engagement, including travel for product demonstrations, customer meetings, and industry trade shows. A critical part of the role includes recruiting, onboarding, and managing foodservice broker networks and working alongside broker partners and foodservice sales representatives. The Account Manager will build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and channel partners to foster growth and success in the foodservice channel. This role requires a highly motivated, resourceful, and self-driven professional with a proven track record in managing the sales process from prospecting through close and cultivating meaningful relationships with foodservice stakeholders.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of successful sales or account management experience

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of successful sales or account management experience, consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • resourceful, self-motivated, and driven, with a proven track record of success in a highly autonomous environment
  • demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence effectively at all levels of an organization
  • proven ability to manage the sales process from prospecting through close
  • experience establishing relationships with key decision-makers at foodservice management companies
  • prior experience selling into colleges and universities (C&U), healthcare, hospitality, and corporate dining channels
  • prior experience working with foodservice broadline distributors such as Sysco and US Foods
  • experience managing relationships with foodservice providers such as Aramark, Compass Group, and Sodexo preferred

Job Duties

  • Identify prospective accounts within branded foodservice, colleges and universities (C&U), healthcare, and corporate dining channels
  • design and implement a strategic sales plan that outlines a methodical approach for prospecting and securing new business
  • identify, recruit, and develop key accounts
  • negotiate contracts and establish pricing, terms, and conditions
  • develop strategies for market penetration, customer acquisition, and competitive positioning
  • travel as needed to conduct product demonstrations, sample cuttings, customer meetings, and attend industry trade shows
  • recruit, onboard, and manage foodservice broker networks
  • work both remotely and in the field, conducting ride-alongs with broker partners and foodservice sales representatives as needed
  • maintain and grow relationships with key customers and channel partners
  • perform other duties as assigned or necessary
