Job Description
Join our dedicated cafeteria team at a reputable healthcare facility located in Tyler, Texas. Our healthcare institution is committed to providing exceptional care and services to patients, staff, and visitors, and our Food Service Workers play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient food service environment. This opportunity is perfect for individuals seeking a stable work schedule with rotating shifts, offering the chance to contribute to the wellbeing of a diverse community.
The role of Food Service Worker involves a variety of responsibilities centered around food preparation, service, and sanitation. You will support kitchen operations by assisting in cooking tasks, preparing ingredients such as peeling and slicing, and assembling food items to meet quality and safety standards. Your duties will also include serving food to patients and staff, cleaning and sanitizing workstations, utensils, and equipment to comply with health safety protocols, and maintaining the organization of food service stations by replenishing inventory and stocking. Additionally, you will handle the operation of POS systems for processing payments efficiently. This position operates on a rotating shift schedule from Monday to Friday, covering two shifts: 6 am to 2 pm and 10:30 am to 7 pm. The compensation rate is $15 per hour.
Being part of our cafeteria crew means you contribute directly to the positive dining experience of healthcare facility patrons while ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and promoting a hygienic environment. We value teamwork, dedication, and a customer-focused approach, providing a supportive workplace where your contributions matter. We also appreciate bilingual candidates who can better serve our diverse community. If you have related food service experience and meet the background and drug screening requirements, this position offers a rewarding career path with the chance to develop your skills further in a healthcare setting.
