The role of a Food and Beverage Server at Boyd Gaming offers a vibrant opportunity to be part of an energetic, customer-focused team within one of the premier gaming establishments in the country. This position centers around delivering exceptional customer service by receiving and serving food and beverage orders to guests efficiently and courteously. The ideal candidate will be comfortable using computerized guest check systems to process orders and payments accurately. Responsibilities include retrieving prepared orders from the kitchen and delivering them to guests, maintaining cleanliness in the dining area, and handling monetary transactions with professionalism and care.

Additionally, physical endurance is a key aspect of the role, as servers must be able to carry trays or push carts weighing up to 40 pounds through busy kitchen and dining room environments. This job demands excellent interpersonal skills, a friendly disposition, and the ability to communicate clearly in English. Prospective servers should have at least six months of prior food and beverage service experience and be able to stand and walk for the majority of their shifts. Job Duties

  • Receive and serve food and beverage orders from guests
  • collect payment and make change for guest checks
  • greet and communicate with guests in a friendly, courteous manner
  • receive and process food and beverage orders using computerized guest check system
  • retrieve prepared orders from kitchen area and deliver to guests
  • carry and balance trays and/or push cart of food and beverages through kitchen and dining room
  • maintain cleanliness of all dining areas
  • present check to guest and deliver payment to cashier
