The Food Server role at Hilton involves being an essential part of the guest service experience within the hotel’s food and beverage operations. As a Food Server, you will be responsible for serving food and beverages to guests while maintaining high standards of service and contributing to the hotel’s financial profitability. Your duties will include responding to guest requests promptly and courteously, having thorough knowledge of the menu and promotional offerings, and accurately taking and inputting orders using the point-of-sale system. You will also be responsible for delivering food and beverage orders efficiently, ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their meal, and adhering to safety and legal regulations related to serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Additionally, maintaining a well-stocked and organized service station will be part of your daily routine.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food service is preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Basic math skills for handling cash and POS transactions
  • Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Respond to guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
  • Ensure knowledge of menu and restaurant promotions and specials
  • Take guest food and/or beverage orders and input orders in appropriate point-of-sale system
  • Retrieve and deliver food and beverage orders in a timely manner
  • Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service
  • Serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with federal, state, local and company regulations
  • Ensure serving station is well-stocked at all times
