The Server - In Suite Dining position at The Venetian Resort is a pivotal role that embodies the resort's dedication to superior guest service. This role demands delivering the highest quality food and beverage products efficiently and promptly directly to guests’ suites. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Proof of authorization and eligibility to work in the United States
- Ability to obtain and maintain Health, TAM, and other required certifications or licenses
- Ability to understand guests’ service needs
- Ability to lift or carry 50 pounds unassisted and move service carts up to 75 pounds
- Physically able to access all property and drive areas
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure
- Ability to walk, stand, stretch, bend, and kneel for prolonged periods
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, and team members
- Must adhere to company standards of conduct
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year experience in a five-star, five-diamond, casino, restaurant, or related hospitality setting
- Advanced understanding of food and beverage products including wine and spirits
- Experience with point of sale equipment and/or computers
- Ability to answer questions with detailed explanations of menu items and preparations
- Excellent professional presentation and grooming
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information
- Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with others
Job Duties
- Check orders prior to delivering to ensure all products are of best quality
- Polish all utensils, coffee pots, urns, and related items
- Expedite orders within the quoted time with complete product delivery
- Provide five-star, five-diamond service in guest suites
- Conduct professional, courteous conversations with guests to identify their needs and create a "WOW" experience
- Ensure proper handling of equipment and use safe lifting techniques
- Maintain knowledge of the resort’s amenities and answer guest questions thoroughly
