The Food Server position at Win-River Resort & Casino plays a crucial role within the Food and Beverage department, directly impacting guest satisfaction and operational success. This hourly non-exempt role offers a salary range from $16.00 to $23.25 per hour, reflecting the importance of the position within the resort’s hospitality team. The Food Server reports to the Food and Beverage Manager and is primarily responsible for serving food and beverage items to guests in a courteous, timely, and professional manner while following established policies and procedures. This role demands excellent guest interaction skills, an ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and adherence to all relevant health and safety standards, including cash handling and state alcohol service laws.
As a Food Server, the individual maintains cleanliness of tables and workstations, ensures accurate order processing via the point-of-sale system, and collaborates with kitchen and bar staff to deliver high-quality dining experiences. They are expected to monitor guests for any signs of intoxication and manage alcohol service responsibly in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The role also involves upselling menu items such as desserts, wines, and specialty drinks to enhance the guest experience and contribute to the resort’s revenue goals. Candidates must have a valid Food Handler card, be able to obtain and maintain TIPs certification, and possess prior experience in cash handling and customer service within a similar environment. Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to obtain and maintain TIPs certification
- Experience in cash handling
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent guest service skills
- Knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, menus, guest relations, and etiquette
- Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware
- Ability to remember, recite and promote menu items and special promotions
- Ability to learn and operate a point-of-sale system
- Food Handler card is required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to obtain and maintain TIPs certification

Job Duties
- Maintains cleanliness of tables and work stations
- Checks tables for clean and proper set-up
- Wipes water spots off of glassware and silverware
- Ensures guests have water and offers beverages
- Works with team members to establish fast and courteous service to guests
- Takes and inputs order into point-of-sale system
- Retrieves orders from kitchen and delivers to guests
- Abides by liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
- Monitors guests for signs of intoxication
- Observes and checks back with guests to assure satisfaction
- Promotes and serves desserts, wines, appetizers, specialty drinks
- Breaks down plates and sorts silverware
- Presents accurate checks to guests
- Maintains cash bank in accordance with policies
- Monitors food quality
- Follows opening and closing check lists
- Performs duties supporting resort values and guest service standards
