The role offered is for a Food Server, an essential position within The Village's vibrant dining team. The primary purpose of this role is to provide courteous, fast, and efficient food and beverage service to residents, beginning with taking orders and extending through serving drinks, appetizers, entrées, and desserts. The Food Server will be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly dining area by bussing dirty dishes and resetting tables with clean linens, silverware, and china. Additionally, the server will ensure complete customer satisfaction by closely monitoring resident needs throughout their dining experience, checking on them at least three times during their visit. This role also requires flexibility to assist with pantry, hostess, or expo duties when needed and emphasizes teamwork, professionalism, and effective time management. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a food service or hospitality environment preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and team members
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Availability to work meal times including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must adhere to The Village Management Staff Philosophy, Vision, and Mission Statements
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 preferred
- Ability to perform required cleaning and resetting duties

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in food service or customer service is an advantage
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties
- Provides fast, efficient, friendly service to everyone
- Knows the daily and weekly menus and is able to keep descriptions of food positive and enthusiastic
- Take residents orders, gather drinks and appetizers in the pantry, and serves the items to the residents in an efficient and timely manner
- Keeps tables clear of dirty dishes and makes themselves available to residents at all times
- Ensures that residents receive their entrees and dessert in a timely manner
- Ensures resident satisfaction by checking up on residents at least 3 times during their visit
- Buss, resets section and completes daily sidework
- Takes on pantry, hostess, or expo duties whenever needed
- Be a team player
- Avoid personal conversations while taking care of our residents and/or guests
- Make sure section has desired appearance and is in proper order before and after serving time
- Uses time effectively to ensure that duties are complete according to schedule
- Understands the goals that must be achieved
- Corrects all deficiencies as soon as possible
