The restaurant focuses on a robust pasta program and sophisticated yet accessible entrees, highlighted by a distinctive roaming mozzarella cart offering hand-pulled cheeses accompanied by curated add-ons such as pickled vegetables, aged vinegars, and cold-pressed olive oil. The Server Assistant role at Hypsi is a crucial front-of-house position designed to support the Food Servers in delivering seamless and attentive guest service. The individual in this role will engage extensively with customers and team members in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Server Assistant is primarily responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of dining areas, resetting tables promptly and with attention to detail, and ensuring that all service ware is spotless. Additionally, this role involves managing the readiness of service stations, maintaining appropriate stock levels of silverware, linens, and condiments, and courteously greeting guests to contribute to a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience.
This position requires strong communication skills, multitasking ability, and physical stamina to lift, push, and pull moderate weights regularly. Job Qualifications

- six months related experience in hospitality or service industry preferred
- previous serving experience in an upscale or fine dining restaurant preferred
Job Duties
- Quickly clean dirty table settings and prepare table for resetting
- promptly and consistently reset tables with spotless service ware
- maintain stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods with necessary equipment including silverware, linen and condiments
- greet guests in a pleasant and courteous manner, serve beverages, breads and butter to begin their dining experience and replenish as necessary
- transport all dirty tableware from dining room to dishwashing area for proper cleaning
- perform other tasks and duties as needed or as directed to meet customer expectations
- operate efficiently under fluctuating demands in a fast-paced restaurant environment
