Job Duties
- Provide quality customer service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers and vendors
- Prepare tables by laying out napkins and utensils and replenishing condiments
- Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations
- Direct guests to their tables, present menus, suggest dishes, assist in drink selection and communicate guest needs to kitchen staff
- Maintain proper dining experience by delivering items, fulfilling guest needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils and refilling glasses
- Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed
- Fill in for absent staff as needed
- Assist with special events as needed
- Greet all guests warmly with an appropriate greeting
- Follow cleanliness standards and food safety guidelines
- Perform duties safely and wear required safety equipment
- Report any safety hazards or accidents
- Follow department safety standards and participate in safety programs
- Attend mandatory in-service meetings and comply with policies and procedures
- Understand facility’s fire and disaster plans and follow procedures during emergencies
