Job Description
Aramark is a global leader in food services, facilities management, and hospitality, proudly serving millions of guests daily across 15 countries. With a deep-rooted commitment to service and excellence, Aramark focuses on creating meaningful experiences for its clients and fostering a supportive, inclusive workplace for its employees. The company operates in a diverse range of sectors, including educational institutions, healthcare facilities, sports and entertainment venues, and business dining, ensuring a broad impact on the communities it serves.
At the heart of Aramark’s success is its dedication to developing its workforce. The company believes that a career should not only nurture an individual's talents but also inspire passion and empower professional growth. Whether employees are seeking new challenges, a sense of belonging, or simply a fulfilling place to work, Aramark strives to help them realize their full potential. The organization champions equitable treatment, inclusivity, and respect for all team members, irrespective of race, color, religion, gender identity, age, disability, sexual orientation, genetic information, or military status. These values create a work environment that values diversity and teamwork.
The Food Server role at Aramark is integral to upholding the company’s standards of excellence in food preparation and service. This position supports the manager in preparing meals, managing cash receipts, and maintaining accurate meal records. Food Servers are key contributors to ensuring that kitchens operate within strict food production, sanitation, and safety guidelines. In this role, employees engage in producing high-quality meals and baked goods from a set menu, monitoring food storage and temperatures, and facilitating meal distribution in accordance with defined schedules and policies.
Food Servers also play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation within kitchen facilities, including refrigerators, freezers, and workspaces. Adhering to proper food handling protocols and uniform policies helps ensure a safe and hygienic environment. The role requires strong communication and coordination skills, especially when liaising daily with managers to understand and execute the day's menu effectively. To excel in this position, employees must be vigilant in monitoring the quality and presentation of meals, using garnishes to enhance visual appeal and ensuring meals include all necessary components.
Physical stamina and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are necessary, as the job involves lifting, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods. Compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) use and uniform standards is obligatory to maintain workplace safety.
This position typically requires a food service certification and a high school diploma or equivalent education. Candidates should possess the ability to interpret and follow verbal and written instructions accurately, and to perform effectively in dynamic and sometimes demanding environments. Aramark offers both full-time and part-time opportunities for Food Servers, and the role provides a meaningful entry point into the food service industry with potential career advancement pathways.
Aramark’s commitment to its employees extends beyond the workplace, offering a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and employee discounts. The company supports a positive, collaborative work culture focused on growth, development, and delivering exceptional service to clients and guests.
