The Food Server role at Aramark is integral to the smooth operation of the food service environment, supporting management through a range of essential duties from food preparation to ensuring compliance with safety standards. This full-time position emphasizes both quality and efficiency in meal production, cash receipt oversight, and meticulous record keeping. The Food Server is responsible for preparing high-quality meals and baked goods in accordance with prescribed menus, ensuring meals are complete and properly stored to maintain freshness and nutritional value. Collaboration with management is crucial to ensure daily menu accuracy and adherence to food safety protocols. Physical stamina is required as the role involves lifting, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Food service certification required
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, standing, and walking for extended periods
- Compliance with uniform standards and use of personal protective equipment when necessary
- Experience or training in food safety and sanitation practices
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with management and team members
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accurate records
Job Qualifications
- Food service certification
- Satisfactory education or training enabling interpretation, writing, and tracking of verbal and written instructions
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure
- High school diploma or similar certification preferred
Job Duties
- Produce top-tier meals and baked goods following a predetermined menu
- Compile a daily update to authenticate transactions and record meal arrangements
- Understand what constitutes a complete meal and check for the presence of all necessary components
- Store food accurately to preserve flavor and nutrients
- Distribute meals to diners in accordance with prescribed meal schedules and policies
- Operate and maintain food preparation tools, especially cutting tools
- Ensure efficient and timely assembly of various food items and beverages
- Enhance the visual appeal of culinary creations by incorporating garnishes
- Help with the cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and kitchen facilities
- Abide by all legislation concerning food safety including sanitation, food handling, and storage guidelines
- Adhere to uniform policies
- Liaise daily with the manager to understand and execute the day’s menu
- Monitor food temperatures to guarantee safety
- Keep work and storage areas clean and organized
- Regularly sanitize workspaces, steam tables, surfaces, and tools
- Complete general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing
- Maintain cleanliness of garbage collection sites and kitchen floors
- Complete other responsibilities including backing up kitchen zones
