The Food Server role at Aramark is an essential position within their food service operations. This role supports management by assisting in food and meal preparation, overseeing cash receipts, and diligently updating meal records to ensure smooth kitchen operation and excellent customer service. The Food Server works closely with the manager to complete daily reports and maintain compliance with food production, sanitation, and safety standards, all critical to delivering a high-quality dining experience. This position is dynamic and involves various responsibilities such as producing meals and baked goods according to a set menu, monitoring food temperature for safety, and maintaining strict adherence to food storage guidelines to preserve nutrition and flavor.

Beyond food preparation, the Food Server ensures that meals are distributed on schedule, maintains cleanliness and organization of workspaces, and contributes to general kitchen upkeep including cleaning refrigerators, freezers, and cooking areas. The role also demands physical stamina as it involves lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of standing and walking. Wearing the appropriate uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE) is a requirement, highlighting the company’s commitment to health and safety. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • food service certification
  • experience in food preparation and sanitation preferred
  • ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for long periods

Job Duties

  • Produce top-tier meals and baked goods following a predetermined menu
  • compile a daily update to authenticate transactions and record meal arrangements
  • understand what constitutes a complete meal and check for the presence of all necessary components
  • store food accurately to preserve flavor and nutrients
  • distribute meals to diners according to prescribed schedules and policies
  • operate and maintain food preparation tools, especially cutting tools
  • ensure efficient and timely assembly of food items and beverages
  • enhance the visual appeal of meals with garnishes
  • assist with cleaning refrigerators, freezers, and kitchen facilities
  • abide by all food safety legislation including sanitation, handling, and storage
  • adhere to uniform policy requirements
  • coordinate daily menu execution with management
  • monitor and maintain food temperatures for safety
  • keep work and storage areas clean and organized
  • regularly sanitize workspaces to prevent contamination
  • perform general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and washing dishes
  • manage waste and keep garbage collection sites clean and orderly
  • perform additional tasks as needed including backing up operations in other kitchen zones
