The company embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring all employees receive equitable treatment regardless of race, color, religion, age, gender, disability, sexual orientation, genetic information, military status, or other legally protected traits. Aramark offers a wide range of job opportunities in food services, facilities management, hospitality, and more, catering to both full-time and part-time roles from entry-level to managerial positions.
The Food Server position at Aramark is an essential role that supports the manager by engaging in food and meal preparation, overseeing cash receipts, and diligently updating meal records. This role also involves assisting with the completion of daily reports and ensuring that the kitchen complies with food production, sanitation, and safety standards. The Food Server is responsible for producing high-quality meals and baked goods following a predetermined menu, ensuring meal components are complete and correctly assembled, and distributing meals to diners according to established schedules and policies. The role demands effective operation and maintenance of food preparation tools, especially cutting instruments, while maintaining a clean, organized workspace that promotes productivity and hygiene.
This job requires adherence to food safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage practices, sanitation procedures, and monitoring food temperatures to guarantee safety and quality. The Food Server also contributes to overall kitchen cleanliness by assisting in cleaning refrigerators, freezers, and general kitchen areas, performing sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing duties, and managing waste collection sites. Physical demands are a core part of the job, including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. The role also requires compliance with uniform policies and the use of personal protective equipment as necessary. The Food Server liaises daily with management to understand and execute the day's menu accurately and may be called upon to back up operations in various kitchen zones.
A successful candidate for this role will have food service certification and satisfactory education or training to interpret, write, and track verbal and written instructions. The ability to perform effectively under pressure by completing tasks quickly and accurately is essential. While a high school diploma or equivalent certification is preferred, the role prioritizes relevant skills and experience that contribute to excellent food preparation and service standards. This position offers an opportunity to grow professionally within a respected organization dedicated to sustainability, inclusion, and the well-being of its employees and communities.
