Job Requirements

  • A high school diploma or similar certification preferred
  • Food service certification
  • Ability to interpret, write, and track verbal and written guidance
  • Skill in performing effectively under pressure
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods
  • Commitment to observing uniform standards and wearing mandated personal protective equipment
  • Willingness to maintain sanitation and food safety standards

Job Duties

  • Produce top-tier meals and baked goods following a predetermined menu
  • Compile a daily update to authenticate transactions and record meal arrangements
  • Understand what constitutes a complete meal and check for the presence of all necessary components
  • Store food accurately to preserve flavor and nutrients
  • Distribute meals to diners in accordance with prescribed meal schedules and policies
  • Operate and look after food preparation tools, especially cutting tools
  • Ensure efficient and timely assembly of various food items and beverages
  • Enhance the visual appeal of culinary creations by incorporating garnishes
  • Help with the cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and kitchen facilities
  • Abide by all legislation concerning food safety including sanitation procedures and appropriate food handling practices
  • Adhere to compulsory requirements outlined in the uniform policy
  • Liaise daily with the manager to understand and execute the day's menu
  • Monitor food temperatures to maintain safety
  • Keep work and storage areas clean and organized
  • Regularly sanitize workspaces such as steam tables, surfaces, and tools
  • Complete general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing
  • Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of garbage collection sites and kitchen floors
  • Complete other responsibilities as needed, including backing up operations in different kitchen zones
