Job Requirements

  • Food service certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to interpret, write, and track verbal and written guidance
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods
  • Adherence to uniform policy and use of personal protective equipment

Job Duties

  • Produce top-tier meals and baked goods following a predetermined menu
  • Compile a daily update to authenticate transactions and record meal arrangements
  • Understand what constitutes a complete meal and check for the presence of all necessary components
  • Store food accurately to preserve its flavor and nutrients
  • Distribute meals to diners in accordance with prescribed meal schedules and policies
  • Operate and look after food preparation tools, especially cutting tools
  • Ensure efficient and timely assembly of various food items and beverages
  • Enhance the visual appeal of culinary creations by incorporating garnishes
  • Help with cleaning refrigerators, freezers, and kitchen facilities
  • Abide by all legislation concerning food safety, sanitation procedures, appropriate food handling practices, and storage guidelines
  • Adhere to the compulsory uniform policy requirements
  • Liaise daily with the manager to understand and execute the day’s menu
  • Ensure food items are kept at optimal temperatures for safety
  • Keep work and storage areas clean and organized
  • Regularly sanitize workspaces such as steam tables, surfaces, and tools
  • Complete general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and dish washing
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of garbage collection sites and kitchen floors
  • Complete supplementary tasks including backing up operations in different kitchen zones
