As part of the Front Porch family, a respected network of residential care communities, Fredericka Manor upholds high standards in hospitality, safety, and community engagement. The community is focused on creating a friendly atmosphere where residents feel valued, comfortable, and at home.
Currently, Fredericka Manor Retirement Community is seeking a Food Server to join its team on a part-time basis, with scheduled shifts from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., including weekends. This role offers competitive hourly pay ranging between $19.00 and $21.00, reflecting the establishment's dedication to attracting skilled and friendly professionals. The Food Server position is essential to the community's dining services operation, primarily focused on ensuring residents and guests enjoy excellent dining experiences that are both pleasant and efficient.
Under the supervision of the Dining Room Manager, the Food Server plays a key role in providing exceptional customer service within Fredericka Manor's dining facilities. The role demands attentive interaction with residents and employees, contributing to a welcoming and hospitable environment that makes every guest feel important and comfortable. Servers must possess a solid understanding of food service procedures and maintain updated knowledge of the menu offerings, including any specialties or temporary menu changes. Their responsibilities extend beyond basic serving duties to include preparing tables, assisting guests with menu selections, accommodating specific dietary requests, and ensuring the cleanliness and readiness of the dining area.
Food Servers at Fredericka Manor are more than just servers; they are integral to creating a positive, community-centered atmosphere. They assist during special events, fill in during staff absences, and consistently uphold the highest standards of food safety and hygiene according to federal, state, and corporate regulations. This includes the use of safety equipment and adherence to facility safety protocols, ensuring a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors alike. The Food Server’s role is dynamic and interactive, requiring excellent communication skills, the ability to work efficiently in a team, and a genuine passion for serving others.
Besides the core duties, the Food Server is expected to participate in all mandatory in-service trainings and safety programs, contribute to maintaining facility compliance with health codes, and be prepared to assist in emergency procedures such as fire and disaster drills. This part-time position offers an opportunity to engage meaningfully with a respected senior community, gain valuable food service experience, and be part of a dedicated team focused on excellence in residential care. Candidates who enjoy working with older adults and who demonstrate reliability, friendliness, and professionalism will find this role both rewarding and fulfilling.
