Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic math skills for handling cash and billing
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • Experience with food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations to ensure compliance at all times
  • Ability to manage time effectively during high-volume shifts while maintaining attention to detail
  • Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, billing accuracy, and inventory management

Job Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems, ensuring efficient processing
  • Upsell menu items by highlighting specials and premium options to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
  • Serve food promptly while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards in line with food safety regulations
  • Clear tables, bus tables, and assist with general restaurant cleanliness to uphold a welcoming environment
  • Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cashiering and basic math calculations for bills and payments
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, supporting a smooth operation during busy hours
  • Use OpenTable or similar reservation systems to manage guest seating efficiently and optimize restaurant flow
  • Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction
  • Assist with host/hostess duties when needed, including managing waitlists and seating arrangements in a professional manner
