Job Requirements

  • A high school diploma or similar certification is preferred
  • food service certification
  • experience in food preparation and service preferred
  • ability to engage in physical work including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for long periods
  • ability to follow safety protocols including wearing personal protective equipment
  • effective communication skills
  • commitment to food safety and hygiene standards

Job Duties

  • Produce top-tier meals and baked goods following a predetermined menu
  • compile a daily update to authenticate transactions and record meal arrangements
  • check for the presence of all meal components
  • store food accurately to preserve flavor and nutrients
  • distribute meals according to schedules and policies
  • operate and maintain food preparation tools
  • ensure efficient and timely assembly of food items and beverages
  • garnish food to enhance visual appeal
  • assist with cleaning kitchen facilities and equipment
  • comply with food safety legislation and sanitation procedures
  • adhere to uniform policy
  • liaise daily with manager regarding menu
  • monitor food temperatures consistently
  • keep work and storage areas clean and organized
  • sanitize workspaces regularly
  • perform general cleaning duties
  • manage waste and garbage areas
  • complete supplementary tasks as needed including backing up kitchen zones
