Job Requirements

  • Serving experience of at least 1 year preferred
  • Availability to work night shifts required
  • Availability for day shifts preferred
  • Ability to commute to Grand Rapids, MI 49504 preferred
  • Willingness to work in person at the restaurant
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • Effective communication skills with guests and team members

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food service roles within restaurant or hospitality environments, especially fine dining or nightclub settings
  • Knowledge of POS systems for seamless order processing
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse situations gracefully
  • Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours while maintaining quality service
  • Familiarity with food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations to ensure a clean and safe environment
  • Ability to upsell menu items confidently to increase sales while enhancing guest satisfaction
  • Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, and calculating bills accurately

Job Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and specials
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS system, ensuring timely and correct delivery
  • Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized dining area, including bussing tables and managing sanitation standards
  • Upsell menu items by suggesting complementary dishes or beverages to enhance the guest experience
  • Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems, process payments, and give correct change
  • Maintain excellent guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally
  • Assist with food handling and preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards are upheld
