Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in food service or customer-facing roles preferred
- strong communication skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- basic math proficiency
- ability to stand for extended periods
- flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- must be able to handle cash transactions accurately
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred, including roles such as server, busser, or host/host
- culinary experience is a plus, with knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques
- strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a busy environment
- basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
- excellent communication skills with a focus on guest services and relations
- familiarity with sanitation practices and food safety regulations is essential
- ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated
- experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant settings is highly desirable
Job Duties
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly and addressing their needs promptly
- assist with food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and adherence to food safety standards
- operate POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable efficiently for order processing and payment transactions
- engage in upselling techniques to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including dining spaces and kitchen equipment
- collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders
- perform bussing duties by clearing tables and resetting them for new guests
- handle cash transactions accurately while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed
- support host/host functions as needed, managing guest relations effectively during peak times
