Job Description
Era Living is a distinguished senior living company dedicated to creating vibrant communities where residents can enjoy exceptional services and a superior quality of life. Our mission centers around providing compassionate care, innovative resources, and engaging experiences tailored specifically for older adults. Established with a commitment to fostering an environment of respect, dignity, and independence, Era Living continues to be a leader in the senior living industry. With multiple communities across the region, including the University House Wallingford location in Seattle, WA, the company prides itself on maintaining a welcoming atmosphere that not only supports our residents' health and wellness but also encourages social interaction and lifelong learning.
At Era Living's University House Wallingford community, we are currently seeking dedicated part-time Food Servers to join our dynamic Dining Services team. The hourly compensation for this role is $21.30, and the position includes the added benefit of a free meal with each shift worked. These roles are primarily scheduled from Thursday through Monday, offering flexibility and a balanced work-life arrangement ideal for individuals seeking part-time employment with meaningful impact.
As a Food Server at University House, you will play an essential role in enhancing our residents' dining experiences by providing attentive, courteous service in a warm, community-oriented environment. Your responsibilities will range from assisting in meal preparation and service to seating residents and their guests, managing meal orders accurately, and ensuring compliance with established food safety and service standards. You will be a vital part of a close-knit team dedicated to making mealtimes enjoyable, comfortable, and engaging for all residents.
The position demands excellent customer service skills, especially sensitivity to the unique needs and concerns of older adults. You will be expected to manage tasks efficiently, including bussing and cleaning tables after courses, assisting in private resident functions, and responding thoughtfully to resident inquiries. Working at Era Living is more than a job—it is an opportunity to be involved in a community that values respect, compassion, and joy in everyday living. This role requires adherence to safety standards and cooperation with team members to maintain smooth operations in the dining area.
Joining Era Living means being part of a workplace culture focused on support and growth. Alongside a competitive wage, employees enjoy access to a robust benefits package that includes a 401(k) plan with a generous company match, vacation accrual for part-time workers, and paid sick leave. Additional perks such as double pay for holidays worked, employee assistance programs, longevity bonuses, discount programs, and pre-tax commuter benefits ensure a rewarding and supportive employment experience. We prioritize creating a positive work atmosphere where employees feel valued and motivated to contribute their best. If you have a passion for service and a commitment to enriching the lives of seniors, this is the ideal opportunity to make a difference while developing your career in hospitality and dining services.
