The Food Server role at Emerald Queen Casino is integral to delivering an outstanding dining experience for guests. The Food Server is responsible for greeting guests as they are seated in the restaurant, promptly providing beverages, and suggesting menu items that cater to individual tastes. This position involves taking accurate food orders and ensuring that guests receive their meals with timely and attentive service. The Food Server operates the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for order processing and payment transactions, providing excellent guest service throughout each interaction. Additionally, this role requires maintaining a clean and well-stocked server station, adhering to hygiene standards, and managing cash handling by accepting money and making change. The role is suited for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, high volume dining environment and have a passion for hospitality.
Working as a Food Server at Emerald Queen Casino requires a commitment to excellent grooming, manners, and professionalism. Candidates must hold a valid Washington State food handler's card and be able to work various shifts, including day, swing, graveyard, and holidays. Physical stamina is essential because the role involves extended periods of standing, the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, routine climbing of stairs, and the capacity to tolerate a smoke-filled environment. The position also requires applicants to obtain a Class III B license as mandated by both the Puyallup Tribal Gaming Regulatory Office and the Washington State Gaming Commission. Pre-employment drug testing is mandatory for all positions, although marijuana use does not automatically disqualify applicants except where driving company vehicles is involved. Overall, this position offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to a vibrant team dedicated to high-quality service within a leading casino and entertainment venue.
