Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • food service certification
  • ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods
  • ability to adhere to uniform standards and wear personal protective equipment when required
  • ability to follow food safety and sanitation procedures
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to work under pressure
  • willingness to perform supplementary tasks as needed

Job Qualifications

  • food service certification
  • satisfactory education or training enabling interpretation, writing, and tracking of verbal and written guidance
  • ability to perform effectively under pressure
  • high school diploma or similar certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Produce top-tier meals and baked goods following a predetermined menu
  • compile a daily update to authenticate transactions and record meal arrangements
  • understand what constitutes a complete meal and check for the presence of all necessary components
  • store food accurately to preserve flavor and nutrients
  • distribute meals to diners in accordance with prescribed meal schedules and policies
  • operate and maintain food preparation tools, especially cutting tools
  • ensure efficient and timely assembly of various food items and beverages
  • enhance visual appeal of culinary creations by incorporating garnishes
  • assist with cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and kitchen facilities
  • abide by all food safety legislation including sanitation procedures and storage guidelines
  • adhere to uniform policy requirements
  • liaise daily with the manager to understand and execute the day’s menu
  • monitor food temperature for safety
  • keep work and storage areas clean and organized
  • regularly sanitize workspaces such as steam tables, surfaces, and tools
  • complete general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing
  • ensure cleanliness and orderliness of garbage collection sites and kitchen floors
  • perform supplementary tasks as needed including backing up operations in different kitchen zones
