The Food Server role at Aramark plays a crucial part in supporting the kitchen and management team to deliver high-quality culinary experiences. This position is geared towards individuals who are passionate about food service and committed to maintaining the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and customer satisfaction. The Food Server assists with meal preparation according to specified menus, manages food storage to maintain quality and freshness, and ensures meals are distributed orderly according to scheduled policies. This role also involves monitoring food temperatures and performing cleaning duties to uphold a sanitary and organized workspace. Additionally, Food Servers contribute to compiling daily reports and updating meal records, working closely with the manager to ensure the smooth operation of kitchen activities.

In addition to technical competencies, this role requires physical stamina as duties include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods. The Food Server must also adhere to all uniform and personal protective equipment policies to maintain a safe working environment. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Produce top-tier meals and baked goods following a predetermined menu
  • compile a daily update to authenticate transactions and record meal arrangements
  • understand what constitutes a complete meal and check for the presence of all necessary components
  • store food accurately to preserve flavor and nutrients
  • distribute meals to diners in accordance with prescribed meal schedules and policies
  • operate and maintain food preparation tools, especially cutting tools
  • ensure efficient and timely assembly of various food items and beverages
  • enhance visual appeal of culinary creations by incorporating garnishes
  • assist with cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and kitchen facilities
  • abide by all food safety legislation including sanitation procedures and storage guidelines
  • adhere to uniform policy requirements
  • liaise daily with the manager to understand and execute the day’s menu
  • monitor food temperature for safety
  • keep work and storage areas clean and organized
  • regularly sanitize workspaces such as steam tables, surfaces, and tools
  • complete general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing
  • ensure cleanliness and orderliness of garbage collection sites and kitchen floors
  • perform supplementary tasks as needed including backing up operations in different kitchen zones
