The position of Food Server at Morrison Healthcare, located at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, is a full-time role with a schedule that includes some evenings, weekends, and holidays. This role offers competitive pay ranging from $16.00 to $18.00 per hour. As a Food Server, you will play a crucial part in preparing and delivering quality meals in a healthcare setting by adhering to standardized recipes, food safety protocols, and service standards. The position requires prior professional cooking experience, emphasizing the importance of culinary skills and knowledge of federal, state, and corporate food safety regulations. Responsibilities include meal preparation, serving, maintaining food temperatures and presentation, enforcing hygiene and safety standards, and assisting with inventory and equipment maintenance. The Food Server contributes directly to the satisfaction and wellness of patients and hospital staff by ensuring efficient, hygienic, and pleasant food service.

Job Requirements

  • Prior professional cooking experience preferred
  • Ability to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Compliance with safety policies including use of cut gloves and slip-resistant shoes
  • Willingness to attend safety and in-service training sessions
  • Reliable transportation to Cleveland Clinic location
  • Authorization to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepares food in accordance with federal, state, and corporate standards
  • Serves meals using correct portion sizes and maintains food temperature
  • Cleans kitchen and work areas to maintain high standards of hygiene
  • Stores or disposes of excess food following food safety procedures
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of refrigerators and storerooms
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment
  • Assists with production planning, ordering, and record keeping
  • Reports maintenance issues or accidents to supervisor immediately
  • Attends safety meetings and follows all safety protocols
  • Maintains good working relationships with coworkers and customers
