Job Requirements
- Prior professional cooking experience preferred
- Ability to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- Compliance with safety policies including use of cut gloves and slip-resistant shoes
- Willingness to attend safety and in-service training sessions
- Reliable transportation to Cleveland Clinic location
- Authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior professional cooking experience
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and serving guidelines
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks
Job Duties
- Prepares food in accordance with federal, state, and corporate standards
- Serves meals using correct portion sizes and maintains food temperature
- Cleans kitchen and work areas to maintain high standards of hygiene
- Stores or disposes of excess food following food safety procedures
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of refrigerators and storerooms
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment
- Assists with production planning, ordering, and record keeping
- Reports maintenance issues or accidents to supervisor immediately
- Attends safety meetings and follows all safety protocols
- Maintains good working relationships with coworkers and customers
