Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food service or customer-facing roles preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers
  • Capacity to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
  • Basic math skills for handling payments
  • Willingness to follow company policies and procedures
  • Positive attitude and strong customer service skills

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to describe menu items clearly and confidently
  • Proven ability to up-sell and increase customer satisfaction

  • Basic knowledge of cash handling and transaction processes
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude
  • Team player with willingness to assist others as needed

Job Duties

  • Radiate a positive and accommodating attitude while interacting with customers
  • Become informed of kitchen/food shortages and relay the shortages to guests when necessary
  • Explain daily/weekly specials and menu items including methods of cooking/preparation to customers as requested
  • Describe menu items, preparation methods, and prices as needed or requested by customers
  • Ensure special requests that the kitchen can deliver are met
  • Up-sell established menu items or specials to maximize food and beverage revenues
  • Serve menu items promptly and courteously according to established service standards
  • Perform pre- and post-shift side work including stocking service station and making coffee
  • Forward customer payments to cashier for transaction completion and promptly return change to guests
  • Receive customer feedback and relay to management
  • Respond quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner and report serious requests to supervisors
  • Assist Greeter/Cashier with greeting and seating guests when needed
  • Assist bus person with clearing tables and filling glasses when needed
  • Maintain professional appearance and dress at all times
  • Follow company policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management
