Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Provide quality customer service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers and vendors in a manner to ensure satisfaction
  • Prepare tables by laying out napkins and utensils, ensuring condiments are refilled and performing all other preparation tasks
  • Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if kitchen staff is running out of any items
  • Direct guests to their tables, present menus, suggest dishes, assist in drink selection, inform guests about food preparation details and communicate specific guest needs to cooks
  • Maintain proper dining experience by delivering items, fulfilling guest needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils and refilling glasses
  • Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
  • Fill in for absent staff as needed
  • Assist with special events as needed
  • Greet all guests and owners warmly with an appropriate greeting
  • Follow highest standards of cleanliness and comply with all federal, state and corporate policies, health codes and guidelines in preparation and handling of foodstuffs
  • Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner, wear safety equipment as required, and report any safety hazards or accidents to supervisor
  • Follow department safety standards, practice correct body mechanics and participate in campus-wide safety programs
  • Attend all mandatory in-service meetings and comply with all department and facilities policies and procedures
  • Understand facility’s fire and disaster plans and follow established procedures during drills and actual emergencies
  • Act as a bringer of pie
