The role of Food Service Worker at the DAFB DFAC is a part-time position offering $18.75 per hour, with work hours ranging from 20 to 35 hours per week over up to five days. Job Duties

  • Ensures all operational and safety procedures are properly followed maintaining a clean and safe work area
  • perform assigned functions related to dining room busser including refilling condiments napkins and plasticware cleaning tables chairs glass shields dust windowsills clean glass doors picking up trays and taking out trash cleaning front entrance carpet sweeping and vacuuming dining area cleaning restrooms after each meal
  • performs assigned functions related to the industrial dishwasher system including scraping rinsing and racking all used dishes feeding racks of dishes through the clipper for sanitation unloading dishes cups trays and flatware cleaning clipper machine and cleaning walls racks drains and floor mats sweeping and mopping area after each meal scrubbing floors as needed emptying trash
  • performs assigned functions related to cleaning pots and pans utilized in food preparation including washing pots and pans to industry standard and returning washed items to correct location cleaning machine cleaning walls racks drains and floor mats sweeping and mopping area regularly scrubbing floors as needed emptying trash frequently
  • performs assigned functions related to front utility including stocking bottled water juice and soda cleaning display refrigerators and wiping beverage machines restocking ice and checking soda machine supplies ensuring proper rotation of products and removal of expired items cleaning and mopping floors picking up trash cleaning restrooms after every meal
  • performs assigned functions related to back and special utility including sweeping and mopping kitchen floor cleaning and restocking restrooms emptying trash cleaning utility room cleaning ovens stoves floor drains and equipment cleaning drains and coolers cleaning back dock area picking up litter assisting in other areas when needed performing other related functions as directed by supervisor
