Within Reckitt, the Research and Development (R&D) function stands out as a hub of innovation, consisting of highly skilled professionals including scientists, engineers, medical experts, clinicians, and regulatory specialists. Operating through nine Centres of Excellence worldwide, the R&D team continually explores new scientific opportunities, combining entrepreneurial flair with fearless innovation to enhance and expand Reckitt's product portfolio. The team’s work is driven by a dedication to never compromise on quality, safety, or performance. This approach is underpinned by strong adherence to global regulatory standards and ethical practices.
The role of Food Safety Standards Manager for Nutritional Products is integral to Reckitt’s R&D efforts. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and enhancing global food safety standards, policies, and technical requirements that govern the full lifecycle of nutritional products—from formulation and manufacturing to packaging and distribution. The manager ensures that these products consistently meet or exceed regulatory, customer, and internal safety expectations. Acting as a strategic leader, the Food Safety Standards Manager harmonizes food safety standards across multiple regions and works cross-functionally with R&D, quality, procurement, manufacturing, and regulatory teams to proactively identify risks and implement effective mitigations.
This position demands a blend of technical expertise and strategic oversight. The manager will lead the development and governance of food safety standards across various nutritional categories, including infant formula, medical nutrition, supplements, powdered and ready-to-drink beverages. They will play a critical role in defining and overseeing critical controls addressing microbiological, chemical, and physical hazards related to high-risk nutrition products. The role also includes auditing and assessing compliance at manufacturing sites and co-manufacturers while driving continuous improvement initiatives based on data analysis and trend monitoring.
Reckitt offers a dynamic work environment that encourages collaboration, professional growth, and innovation. Employees benefit from the global Research and Development Academy, designed to foster knowledge exchange and career development. Furthermore, Reckitt supports inclusion and wellbeing through extensive programs such as parental benefits, employee assistance programs, life insurance, and competitive compensation packages.
The salary range for this role is USD $112,000 to $168,000, reflecting the significance and expertise required. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for discretionary bonuses and a comprehensive suite of benefits including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid time off, retirement plans, and more. Reckitt’s culture emphasizes pay for performance and rewards employees for contributing to the company’s mission and success.
Joining Reckitt as a Food Safety Standards Manager means becoming part of a global force aiming to elevate health and safety standards across nutritional products that impact consumer lives worldwide. This role is a unique opportunity to lead food safety innovation, collaborate across disciplines, and influence industry best practices with a company dedicated to ethical leadership and sustainability.
