Job Description

This position is with a leading organization specializing in Food and Beverage operations, dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality across all its locations. As a key player in the Food and Beverage Operations department, this role is pivotal in driving initiatives related to food safety and quality assurance. The role involves responsibility for overseeing safety standards at all Food and Beverage locations, monitoring team adherence to food safety procedures, and representing the operational drive of the department. This position supports the development and implementation of new products, automation equipment, and systems that enhance the efficiency and reliability of food safety operations. The individual in this role will lead and mentor site Quality & Food Safety teams, managing projects that elevate operational standards and ensure compliance with governmental regulations.

Key aspects of the role include serving as the primary contact for regional Quality and Food Safety projects, maintaining comprehensive training programs in food and occupational safety, and managing existing food safety programs alongside emerging priorities. The role demands conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with General Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and occupational safety standards, providing technical support to associates and management, and ensuring the entire team receives necessary training and certification.

This position is ideal for someone with technical expertise in food safety, a proactive approach to compliance and team leadership, and the ability to communicate complex information effectively across various stakeholder levels. The work schedule requires flexibility, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts, reflecting the company's commitment to maintaining consistent food safety standards during all operational hours. This is a full-time position requiring availability for a 40-hour workweek during full operation and additional crew days on weekends.

The successful candidate will possess certifications such as TABC and Food Manager certification and demonstrate the ability to conduct internal assessments, develop corrective actions, validate systems, and liaise with regulatory bodies and auditors. This role also emphasizes fostering innovation, cooperation, and problem-solving within teams, influencing management, and enabling employee activities to meet the company’s food safety objectives. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • TABC and Food Manager certified
  • Must be willing to work a varied schedule including extended shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Available to work 40 hours a week during full time operation and 1-2 work crew days during weekend operation
  • Ability to complete required internal assessments and audits
  • Ability to develop corrective and preventive actions
  • Ability to validate and verify food safety systems
  • Ability to communicate technical and non-technical information effectively
  • Capacity to foster innovation and cooperation
  • Ability to influence management and enable employee activities

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Maintain safety standards of all Food and Beverage locations
  • Monitor the team in Food and Beverage locations to ensure all food safety procedures are followed
  • Represent the drive and initiative of the Food and Beverage Operations department
  • Focus on food safety, quality and creating a positive work environment
  • Maintain compliance of all policies and procedures to achieve outstanding guest service
  • Support the development and testing of new products, automation equipment and creation of systems and procedures
  • Lead and support site Quality & Food Safety teams in project accountabilities, mentoring site teams where appropriate
  • Be the key contact for all regional Quality and Food Safety related projects & activities
  • Maintain food safety and occupational safety training programs to ensure governmental compliance
  • Manage and support existing food safety programs and emerging priorities
  • Provide technical support to associates and management regarding food safety and occupational safety programs
  • Ensure associates receive food safety and occupational safety orientation training and all required annual trainings
  • Conduct audits of facilities to ensure General Food Safety (GFSI) and safety compliance
  • Complete required internal assessments & audits, develop corrective/preventive actions, and complete required validation and verifications of the system
  • Act as in-house expert and primary interface with regulatory agencies, corporate and other third party audits
  • Communicate technical and non-technical information to various levels
  • Foster an environment where innovation and cooperation are used to solve problems
  • Influence management & enable the activities of employee teams
  • Perform all other duties assigned by Full Time Supervisors
