Job Description

The employer in this job posting appears to be a theme park or amusement park company, likely Six Flags given the mention of Six Flags policies and Atlanta area attractions, which is a major theme park chain in the United States. This kind of company operates a variety of rides, food and beverage locations, and entertainment venues, catering to families and guests looking for fun and entertainment. The company promotes employee engagement through benefits such as free tickets for family and friends, promotion opportunities, scholarships, exclusive parties and events, giveaways, discounts, and free access to regional attractions. This indicates a focus on employee satisfaction and community involvement. The role being advertised is a Health and Safety Auditor for Food and Beverage operations within the park. This position serves a critical function by acting as a vigilant guardian of cleanliness, safety, and regulatory compliance across multiple food service units. The individual will conduct daily sanitation audits and walk-through inspections to ensure that equipment, food prep areas, and general workspaces meet strict sanitation standards. They will enforce proper handling procedures to adhere to all food safety policies and health department regulations, helping to prevent contamination and maintain a safe environment for both employees and guests. A significant part of the role includes monitoring the use of personal protective equipment to minimize workplace injuries, as well as mentoring staff through on-the-job training sessions designed to improve skills and adherence to company standards. This role requires the documentation of safety records, temperature logs, and cleaning checklists, ensuring thorough record-keeping for audits and inspections. The Health and Safety Auditor is also tasked with overseeing alcohol service points to ensure strict compliance with age-restriction laws through proper identification protocols. As the primary contact for health inspectors and auditors, the professional in this role escorts officials during facility visits and promptly provides requisite documentation. Working closely with the Maintenance Department, the auditor reports and follows up on needed repairs related to safety or sanitation issues. Attendance in weekly maintenance meetings is part of the job to stay updated on outstanding requests and facility condition. The company expects this employee to adhere strictly to all internal policies and demonstrate professionalism, positive attitude, and self-motivation. The pay rate is $16.00 per hour, and the role requires a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and peak season shifts, typically swing or mid-day hours. Overall, this position is ideal for individuals enthusiastic about food safety, quality assurance, guest welfare, and continuous learning in a fast-paced, guest-centered entertainment environment. It offers valuable experience in regulatory compliance, health inspections, staff training, and operational excellence, all within the dynamic setting of a major theme park.
