The company prides itself on a legacy of excellence and its mission to protect people, enhance lives, and preserve the planet. With extensive expertise, a strong customer focus, and innovative solutions, Rentokil and its affiliated companies set industry standards and continually evolve to meet the needs of their diverse clientele.

As part of this esteemed global network, the Food Safety Specialist role supports our hotel, restaurant, and grocery clients by helping them maintain the highest standards of food quality and safety. This position is vital in ensuring that clients uphold their brand integrity and provide exceptional customer experiences. The role involves conducting thorough assessments of client operations to verify compliance with regulatory, industry, and proprietary brand standards. This helps mitigate food safety risks, improve sanitation practices, and foster a safer environment for both staff and customers.

The Food Safety Specialist serves as both an auditor and a coach, offering insights and guidance to clients on how to meet and exceed food safety requirements. This includes observing food preparation and cooking processes, identifying areas where improvements are needed, and collaborating with clients to develop corrective action plans grounded in best practices. Specialists also teach and train client personnel on effective food safety techniques and workplace health standards.

Travel is a significant component of this position, with 50-70 percent travel expected, typically amounting to 8 to 10 days per month. Work hours may include evenings and weekends to accommodate client schedules and deadlines. The role demands a high level of autonomy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence and provide constructive feedback tactfully. A flexible schedule, strong organizational abilities, and prioritization skills are essential to manage diverse responsibilities effectively.

This role not only helps clients comply with food safety regulations but also supports their efforts to create safer, healthier environments for consumers. It is an opportunity to leverage your technical knowledge of food safety in a dynamic environment while contributing positively to public health and business success. Benefits start from day one for full-time colleagues with no waiting period, allowing specialists to immediately access comprehensive health and wellness packages. This demonstrates the company’s commitment to supporting its employees' well-being from the outset.
