Known for its commitment to protecting people, enhancing lives, and preserving the planet, Rentokil serves a diverse range of clients that include consumer and business customers across multiple industries. The company prides itself on its rich legacy of excellence and trusted partnerships with many of the world’s leading brands. Through its employee-focused culture and dedication to service excellence, Rentokil continually strives to uphold the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

The Food Safety Specialist role at Rentokil is designed for individuals who are passionate about maintaining and enhancing food safety standards within the hospitality and retail sectors. This full-time position involves working closely with clients in hotels, restaurants, and grocery stores to uphold brand standards, ensure food quality, and deliver exceptional customer service. Specialists act as key contributors in helping clients meet regulatory compliance and internal standards, which ensures a safe and enjoyable experience for their customers.

In this role, the Food Safety Specialist conducts comprehensive assessments evaluating conformity with regulatory, industry, and proprietary standards set by clients. This includes observing food preparation and cooking processes to ensure safe handling, sanitation, and health practices are adhered to rigorously. Specialists collaborate with clients to identify root causes of any discrepancies found during assessments and develop corrective action plans to address these issues effectively.

Moreover, Food Safety Specialists play an important coaching role, teaching clients best practices for creating safer and healthier environments for both staff and customers. The role requires significant travel, typically 50 to 70 percent of the time, amounting to 8 to 10 days per month, including some evenings and weekends, reflecting the dynamic and client-facing nature of the work.

Successful candidates will thrive in an autonomous environment, demonstrating strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks, and the flexibility to work varied hours. Strong technical knowledge of food safety is preferred, and the ability to influence and provide constructive feedback positively is vital. Rentokil offers competitive pay and numerous incentives tied to performance and career growth. Newly hired full-time employees are eligible to start receiving benefits immediately from day one, ensuring they have access to comprehensive health, wellness, retirement, and personal development resources.

Joining Rentokil as a Food Safety Specialist is not only a job but a career opportunity that nurtures professional growth through multiple training programs, tuition reimbursement for full-time employees, and a workplace culture committed to diversity, inclusion, and respect. The company also offers paid vacation and sick days, company-paid holidays, and a supportive environment that values health, safety, and work-life balance. Prospective candidates are encouraged to bring dedication and enthusiasm to make a true difference in food safety standards where customers live and work, supported by a global leader that invests heavily in its people and their futures.
