The Food Runner position at Din Tai Fung plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional guest experience by ensuring that food is delivered quickly and accurately from the kitchen to guests’ tables. As a Food Runner, you are responsible for maintaining the visual appeal and presentation of dishes while making sure that each dish reaches the guest in a timely manner. Besides serving meals to guests, Food Runners assist in packing takeout orders with care and keep the Expo Station as well as the Takeout Packing Stations clean, organized, and operational according to Din Tai Fung’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This role requires close collaboration with servers and kitchen staff to keep the service flowing smoothly, thereby enhancing overall guest satisfaction.

The pay rate for Food Runners is $16.30 per hour, supplemented by an estimated $12.50 to $14.25 per hour in tips, providing a competitive compensation package for this entry-level hospitality role.
