Located in Joliet, Illinois, The Reserve at Caesars Entertainment is seeking a part-time Food Runner/Busser to join their dynamic team. This role plays an essential part in ensuring an outstanding dining experience for guests by supporting servers and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. The position is offered on a part-time basis with a competitive hourly compensation of $15.00, with shifts from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, Thursday through Sunday. Flexibility is a key aspect given the variable operational needs of the business, and candidates must be prepared to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

As a Food Runner/Busser, you will be responsible for maintaining a smooth flow of service by promptly clearing tables of soiled dishes, flatware, glassware, and utensils, and assisting servers by delivering non-alcoholic beverages. Your role is pivotal in resetting tables quickly and efficiently, and you will also be tasked with upholding cleanliness standards throughout the dining area. Your friendly demeanor and attention to detail will help create a positive atmosphere that keeps guests coming back. Job functions include frequent walking, standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing various physical movements such as bending, kneeling, and reaching. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Must possess a pleasant personality
Prior restaurant experience preferred
Excellent customer service skills
Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling customer needs and concerns
Excellent oral and communication skills
Neat and clean appearance
Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs
Position requires 10% standing and 90% walking
Must be able to walk and be on feet and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 10 hours
Requires some pushing and twisting
Requires some bending, kneeling, climbing, stooping and frequent reaching above and below shoulders
Must be able to respond to touch, speech, smell, aural and visual cues
Must be able to work in areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, varying noise or temperature levels and dust
Ability to carry beverage trays and carrying of plates without tray service

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Make sure all areas are clean and free of debris
Maintains a constant flow of dirty dishes, glassware, and silverware to the kitchen and provides all clean supplies to the dining room
Maintain tables throughout service, clearing dishes between courses and emptying glassware as necessary
Must possess a pleasant personality
Maintains required levels of supplies in the dining room
Assists other employees in their duties as needed or as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager
Meticulously cleans dining room tables and booths
Empties all garbage
Acts as a role model and presents oneself as a credit to Harrah’s, and encourages others to do the same
Responds to common inquiries or complaints from customers and employees
Adheres to all department and company policies and procedures
Provides a warm farewell and thanks guests for visiting
Promotes Harrah’s and always projects Harrah’s in a positive light to guests
Performs all related duties as assigned
