Currently, the group is seeking to hire a Busser/Food Runner with a flexible schedule to join their team at the DoubleTree by Hilton McLean Tysons. This role is crucial in maintaining the seamless flow of food and beverage service within the restaurant by ensuring that tables are efficiently cleared and reset, thereby contributing significantly to the overall guest experience. The position demands adherence to strict health regulations and involves restocking necessary supplies and performing basic cleaning duties to uphold the restaurant's high standards.

The ideal candidate will be part of a supportive and dynamic team that values exceptional service and operational efficiency. This is an hourly position involving shifts that vary depending on the business, with bar/kitchen hours from 3pm to 12am. The Busser/Food Runner must interact courteously with guests, anticipate their needs, and assist other team members whenever necessary to guarantee satisfaction. Beyond front-of-house responsibilities, this role also requires active participation in maintaining a clean and safe work environment, following all operational procedures including safety and emergency protocols, and exhibiting self-management by organizing and prioritizing tasks effectively.

Job Duties

  • Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
  • anticipate and respond to guest needs promptly
  • clear and wipe down tables and counters
  • dispose of garbage properly
  • clean floors and pick up dishes and glassware
  • restock supplies as needed
  • transfer full tubs to the dish room
  • assist other restaurant and kitchen staff as necessary
  • maintain a clean and safe work area following all regulations
  • assist in sanitation and cleanliness of restaurant, kitchen, and dish room
  • follow procedures for guest and team member incidents
  • know hotel emergency procedures
  • plan, organize, and prioritize work duties

  • complete all required side work
  • assist servers, dishwashers, or other staff as needed
