The Blue Ridge Mountain Club is currently seeking a motivated and dependable Food Runner/Busser to join their food and beverage team. This position is a part-time role that plays a critical role in supporting the on-site dining experience by ensuring timely delivery of food orders and maintaining cleanliness and sanitary conditions throughout the dining area. The Food Runner/Busser contributes significantly to upholding the 5-star service standards that guests have come to expect from the community’s culinary offerings.
In this role, the individual will be responsible for efficiently delivering food to customers, ensuring accuracy and a positive dining experience. Beyond food delivery, the role encompasses maintaining cleanliness across various areas within the operation including washing work tables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks. Attention to detail is paramount as the candidate will be required to sweep, mop, clean floors, and properly manage trash and garbage removal to designated areas. Moreover, the Food Runner/Busser will assist in transferring supplies and equipment between pantry and storage rooms, supporting overall operational efficiency.
Sanitation and safety are a top priority in this role. The position involves cleaning equipment using specific chemicals designed to meet food safety and cleanliness standards. The candidate must also participate in all allergy and foodborne illness in-service training sessions to stay informed and compliant with health regulations. Responsible reporting of any accidents or injuries in a timely manner is an essential safety protocol that must be adhered to. This position may also involve other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management, reflecting the diverse nature of supporting a dynamic foodservice environment.
